Here at Terrestrial Reptiles we pride ourselves in putting the animals first. This is why we have specific rules when it comes to shipping. We want to make sure the animal is comfortable and safe on the ride over to their new homes. We never ship during weeks of major holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas to make sure there are no delays, and the animals don't get lost in transit. We also never ship on Fridays and weekends due to the fact that if the package gets to the shipping terminal late, it will sit in a box until after the weekend and we wont get any updates on the animal. Our preferred and recommended days to ship are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so once you place an order, it will most likely get shipped one of those two days. We do this because it's when the shipping terminals are least hectic and we feel it is safest for the animals to ship on these days. If there is a rush on the order we have no problem shipping on Mondays and Thursdays as well. We ship through FedEx Priority Overnight Shipping. When the order is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number where you can track your package en route. With priority overnight shipping you should receive the package in the next business day. For example, if the package ships on Tuesday. You should be expected to receive the package by Wednesday before 1:00PM. The box of the package will say LIVE ANIMALS and inside, it is boxed with insulated foam along with cooling or heating packs to keep the animal at the perfect temperature. The live arrival guarantee protects the customer from loosing their money when something goes wrong with shipping. The animals we send out should always come alive and healthy, but sometimes things happen that are out of our control. Every shipment that goes out gets a tracking number which us and the customers will receive. We get an email when the package arrives at their designated location. If the animal is DOA (dead on arrival), the customer should immediately take a picture of the animal and contact us through email or text message. At this point in time when we can confirm animal death, the customer will get a 100% refund on the item.
